Bloom uses Plaid — the same technology trusted by Venmo, Cash App, and thousands of other finance apps. Your login credentials are never stored by Bloom. You can disconnect at any time.
Don't want to link your bank? That's completely okay — the other options work just as well.

What about real cross-device sync?
Looking ahead: automatic sync across devices needs a small backend service (think Supabase or Firebase — ~1 hour to set up). If you want Bloom to feel like a "log in once, your data follows you" app, that's the next step. Until then, the backup file is your friend — it's actually more private than cloud sync, since your data never touches anyone else's servers.
